Acceptable use policy

Texts, calls, email and postcards

• Only text, call, email or mail people who have a relationship with your business or have agreed to hear from you. No bought, rented or scraped lists.
• Get consent before sending marketing texts, and keep the opt-out working: Crew & Level adds "Reply STOP to opt out" to campaign texts, an unsubscribe link to marketing emails, and stops marketing to anyone who opts out. Don't re-add people who opted out or reach them another way to get around it.
• Don't send messages that are deceptive, harassing, threatening, hateful or sexually explicit, or that impersonate someone else.
• Follow the rules for recording calls where you and your callers are. Callers to your number hear a notice when recording is on; calls you place need the other person's consent where the law requires it.
• Don't set up your AI receptionist to mislead callers or to pretend it's a person.
• Don't send content that carriers or email providers prohibit (for example, some regulated products or high-risk financial offers).

Data you store

• Don't put card numbers, bank details, government ID numbers, passwords or health records in notes, messages, custom fields or files. Payment details belong on Stripe's checkout.
• Only store personal data you're allowed to collect, and only upload content you have the rights to.

The service itself

• Don't try to access other companies' data or accounts, test our security without permission (see our security page to report issues), or work around rate limits, plan limits or access controls.
• Don't upload malware, overload the service, or scrape it outside the API.
• Use the API, webhooks and AI app connections within their documented limits, and keep your API keys secret.
• Don't resell or provide the service to others without our written agreement.
• Don't use Crew & Level for anything illegal, or to help anyone else break the law.

If something goes wrong

If we believe an account breaks this policy, we may pause the affected feature (for example, sending campaigns), remove content or suspend the account, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us. Report abuse to hello@crewandlevel.com.
